How are you encountering Jesus?
Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen how people encountered Jesus and how it changed their lives.
As we move toward Easter, take a moment to look back…
and consider what it means for you.

Jesus & the Paralyzed Man
In Mark chapter 2, we’re brought into a crowded house in Capernaum so full there’s no room to move. In the middle of it, four friends do whatever it takes to get their paralyzed friend to Jesus, lowering him through the roof. Everyone expects Jesus to heal what’s obvious, but instead, He goes deeper, offering forgiveness before restoration. In that moment, Jesus reveals not just what He can do, but who He is. Faith creates access. Real community carries people to Him. And what we receive isn’t always what we expected, but it’s exactly what we need.

Jesus and the Woman at the Well
Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well, revealing how Jesus meets us at the "wells" of our lives—those places of avoidance, shame, or temporary satisfaction. Through this story, we see how an authentic encounter with Jesus transforms us from hiding to witnessing, from shame to freedom.

Where do you tend to go when you’re running on empty?

Jesus & Nicodemus
In John chapter 3, Nicodemus comes to Jesus at night curious, cautious, and searching for something more. He had knowledge, but still sensed something was missing. And Jesus invites him beyond what he knows into something new: to be born again.
Nicodemus didn’t have it all figured out, but he was willing to come and ask. And it’s in that posture that he encounters Jesus. Real faith isn’t just understanding—it’s trust, surrender, and being made new.

Where has your faith become familiar or surface-level?
What would it look like to trust Jesus more fully right now?

Jesus & the Disciples
Andrew's simple act of bringing his brother Simon (Peter) to Jesus demonstrates the power of personal invitation. This encounter would ripple through history, as Peter became a pillar of the early church. The message challenges us to recognize that inviting people to Jesus—whether through sharing our faith story or inviting them to church—is not just a good suggestion but a biblical calling we all share.

Don’t rush past who Jesus is
As we move toward Easter, this is an invitation to see Jesus more clearly.
Every encounter we’ve looked at shows us something about Him. And as we step into Holy Week, we’ll continue walking through the story together, paying attention to who He is and what it means for us.
