7 Days of Prayer

Day 1 – Celebrate Open Heavens

Good morning, Celebration Church family!
Today, as you open this devotional, I want to invite you to start your week with a posture of adoration. Our theme is “Celebrate Open Heavens.”

ISAIAH 64:1 (NIV) says,
“Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before you!”

What a powerful image—God Himself tearing open the heavens to move on behalf of His people.

We are a “faith people”—no hindrances allowed. There’s no ceiling over your life when God is involved. He is the God who opens a door and no one can shut it. Sometimes, we look at our circumstances and see only barriers, but God sees opportunities for breakthrough.
He is not limited by what limits us.

A.W. Tozer once said:
"Anything God has ever done, He can do now. Anything God has ever done anywhere, He can do here. Anything God has ever done for anyone, He can do for you."

Let’s begin today by turning our eyes toward Heaven. Worship God as the One who tears through impossibilities. Maybe you’re facing a situation that feels impossible—a relationship, a diagnosis, a financial need, or a dream that seems out of reach. Remember, our God is able. Our God is near.

Application:
Take a few moments to write down the areas in your life where you need to see God “open the heavens.” Where do you need breakthrough? Where do you need to see God move in a way that only He can?

Action Step:
Today, declare out loud: “God, I believe You are opening the heavens over my life, my family, and my church. I trust You for breakthrough.”
Prayer Points:
  • Thank God for His nearness and power.
  • Ask Him to reveal any areas where you’ve allowed doubt or fear to limit your faith.
  • Pray for open heavens over your home, your work, and our church.

Prayer:
Father, thank You that You are near and able. I trust You to break through every barrier. Let Your presence and power be real in my life today. Open the heavens over my family, my church, and my city. I worship You as the God who does the impossible. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
