What is an egg drop?

We are so glad you asked.

An egg drop is a surprise drop off of 20-30 filled Easter eggs in a friend’s yard that you want to invite to Easter service.
In short, here is what you’re committing to:

1. Talk and pray as a family:
2. Decide who to invite
3. Pick up your egg packets from the church
4. Do the drop! (Please complete your drop as close to 2 weeks before Easter as possible. This helps give your guests time to plan to join you)
5. As the kids come out to find the eggs, enjoy the fun and invite your friends to Easter!
Dates you can pick up your eggs: Sunday March 15th, Wednesday March 18th, and Sunday March 22nd

Who should you consider inviting?

Anyone that you know who has kids and that may be looking for a church family!
  • Neighbors
  • Friends
  • Your kids friends
  • Co-workers
  • Your kids classmates
  • Teachers
  • Family members
  • People new to Shreveport
  • People going through difficult seasons
  • People looking for a church home

The possibilities are endless! BUT.... Don’t try to egg drop everyone! Even if there are more people you plan to invite, save the egg drops for the 1-3 families you think are most likely to enjoy the egg hunt and say “yes” to your invitation.

How does one do an egg drop?

Let's talk details.
  1. Talk and pray as a family
  2. Decide who to invite
  3. Pick up your egg packets from the church
  4. Do the drop!
  5. Give the parents a heads up and try to “egg drop” at a time they will be home
  6. Bring the whole family (if you can!)
  7. Scatter the eggs in the yard/on the porch
  8. Ding dong ditch! (but don’t ditch too far away!)
  9. As the kids come out to find the eggs, enjoy the fun and invite your friends to Easter!

So you did your drops. Now what?

  1. Pray that your guests will come
  2. Follow up, if the invite was left open ended, and ask if they plan to join you
  3. Plan to host your guests for whatever service time they plan to attend if possible
  4. If they come on Easter, help them take another next step!
