What is Water Baptism?

Baptism is a symbol of a commitment, much like a wedding ring. When a couple marries, they give each other a wedding ring. This ring does not make them married; the promise and covenant they made to each other makes them married. The ring symbolizes to others the promise and covenant they made in their hearts. Like the wedding ring, baptism is a symbol before God and people of the promise and covenant a person makes in his heart with Jesus.

Once you have received Jesus as your Savior you should be water baptized as soon as possible! Baptism is a public proclamation of your faith in Jesus Christ.
