Know God: Baptism

Following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Why We Should Be Baptized?
Baptism is a symbol of commitment, much like a wedding ring. When a couple marries, they give each other a wedding ring. This ring does not make them married; the promise and covenant they made to each other makes them married. The ring is a symbol to others of that promise and covenant they made in their hearts. Like the wedding ring, baptism is a symbol before God and man of the promise and covenant a person makes in his heart with Jesus.

When We Should Be Baptized?
Once you have received Jesus as your Savior you should be water baptized as soon as possible! Baptism is a public proclamation of your faith in Jesus Christ.
