Prayer & Fasting

Prayer is an essential habit for all followers of Jesus that is both simple and incredible. It is as simple as talking to God as our Father and incredible because He hears and responds.

“The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” - James 5:16

Why Do We Pray?

We believe Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We believe the Word when it says, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.(Mark 11:23) and, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:24). The Celebration Church family wants to stand with you in prayer.

How Should We Pray?

Have you ever seen something someone else had and wanted it? The disciples were the same way. They noticed that Jesus had something different when He prayed. One day they asked Him, “Lord, teach us to pray.” These prayer guides will show you how to grow and connect with God through prayer.

Prayer Requests

By submitting a PRAYER REQUEST below, you will immediately have your request sent to a team of people who believe in the power of prayer who will stand in agreement with you. We encourage you to “hold fast the confession of your hope without wavering, He who promised is faithful.” We look forward to praying with you.

Let us pray with you.

"Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven" - Matthew 18:19

Why Do We Fast?

For so many of us, the desires of our body have come to hold power over us. In the battle with our “flesh,” we have become its slave, not its master. Both the Old Testament and New Testament teach the value of fasting, which is abstaining from food or drink in order to focus on prayer and seeking God's will. Through many examples of people in the Bible who fasted, we can know that God grants supernatural revelation and wisdom through this practice. Scripture tells us that fasting will help us grow a more intimate relationship with Christ and will open our eyes to what He wants to teach us.
